BODYWORK SESSIONS USING REBALANCING TECHNIQUES
I offer bodywork sessions using Rebalancing techniques as part of my training to become a certified Rebalancer. These sessions are intended to help me refine my skills in working with these methods. The first session I offer for free. A session includes a combination of bodywork (slow touch on a massage table), self-inquiry, and meditation. I'll guide you from rational thinking (in your head) into your emotional and physical experience (in your body). I create an inviting, safe, and respectful space where you can fully be yourself and we will welcome all that comes up.
A session can lead to deep relaxation, emotional experiences, or personal insights. The goal is not to achieve or “fix” anything. It’s primarily about being with what is. This creates calm, safety, and more space in the body.
If you'd like to dive deeper into your inner world, I recommend booking multiple sessions. Usually it takes some time for the body to feel safe enough to open.
How it works
Step 1. You contact me, and we schedule a practice session together. Before the session, I’ll send you a short intake form.
Step 2. I welcome you to my house. We get acquainted and I briefly tell you about myself and what I offer. We discuss what brings you to the session and anything else that might be relevant.
Step 3. We begin with self-inquiry, sitting on a chair. You may close your eyes and bring your attention to your body. You feel whatever is there to feel, and I guide you by asking questions.
Step 4. I invite you to lie down on the massage table. We continue the self-inquiry there. I apply various techniques that may be soft and subtle, firm and deep, flowing, or still. The touch supports you in staying with your felt experience in the body. At the end of the session, I leave you in quiet rest for a moment to integrate.
Step 5. You return to the chair, and we take a moment to close the session together.
Afterwards, I’ll send you an evaluation form with a few questions about your experience.
This form will be part of my portfolio and can be filled in anonymously if you prefer.

TECHNIQUES
Slow and mindful touch is central. I use a wide range of rebalancing techniques, ranging from soft and subtle touch to deep and firm pressure. Sometimes this involves still contact, while at other times flowing movements are applied. The touch arises intuitively.
I combine physical touch with meditation (being present in the here and now without judgment) and self-inquiry (what do you feel/experience in your body?). I invite you to connect with the feelings that are rising within you.
What are the benefits?
This type of bodywork can help with all kinds of physical, emotional, and tension-related issues and offers an opportunity for personal growth and (body) awareness. To me it is a journey through which you can discover yourself and reflect on who you truly are, what you need, and what holds you back. It helps you to connect to your body and listen to what your body is telling you. This brings you closer to yourself.

ABOUT ME
In early 2024, I started the Rebalancer training at the Rebalancing Centrum. From the moment I first encountered Rebalancing, it felt like coming home. What appeals to me is the attentive presence, the slowing down, the non-judgmental attitude, the focus on the here and now, and the loving touch. These aspects create a deep relaxation I hadn't experienced before. Through my body, I embark on an inward journey. I'm learning so much about who I am, what I want, and what I can let go of. I find this process magical, and I'm fascinated by what touch can unleash and bring, both in myself and in others.
Before I began my Rebalancing journey, I worked as a Project Management consultant at a government agency, where I focused on process management, information management, and project archives. During a burn-out, I began searching for answers to the questions "how can I calm my nervous system?" and "what truly makes me happy?" This led me to yoga, dance, meditation, reading, and the wonderful world of Rebalancing.

PRACTICAL INFO
On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday I invite you to my home in Amsterdam-West (Bos en Lommer).
I will share my address and telephone number after our first contact ( saga.bonam@gmail.com ).
My house is easily accessible by bike, public transport, or car.
There is ample parking in front of the door; parking costs 5 euros per hour.
RATES
The first session I offer for free
After that I charge 35 euro per session.
The duration of a session is about 1,5 hour.
